By using WaVault, you agree to these terms governing your rights and responsibilities.
Executive Summary
WaVault is a local-only tool. We don't see your data, and we don't store it. You are solely responsible for your own data security and your compliance with third-party platform rules.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By installing the WaVault browser extension ("The Extension") or accessing our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. This is a legally binding agreement between you and WaVault. If you do not agree, please do not use the Extension.
2. Description of Service
WaVault provides a professional interface to structure and export your locally available WhatsApp Web data. The Extension operates under a Zero-Knowledge Architecture, meaning all processing happens in your browser's runtime memory (RAM) and local storage. Data is stored locally using the browser's native secure keychain mechanism (AES-256 encryption at rest).
3. Third-Party Platform Dependence
WaVault is an independent project and is not affiliated with, associated with, or endorsed by WhatsApp Inc. or Meta Platforms, Inc.
- No Affiliation: "WhatsApp" is a registered trademark of WhatsApp Inc.
- Service Continuity: Because the Extension relies on the WhatsApp Web interface, any updates made by WhatsApp to their code may disrupt or disable WaVault's functionality. We are not liable for any such disruptions.
- User Compliance: You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Extension complies with WhatsApp's own Terms of Service and Anti-Spam policies.
4. Data Responsibility & Loss
Since WaVault maintains Zero-Knowledge of your private data, we cannot offer recovery services:
- No Backups: We do not back up your lead lists. If you uninstall the extension or clear your device cache, all local WaVault data is permanently erased.
- Integrity: You are responsible for maintaining secondary copies of your exported CSV files. WaVault is not liable for data loss, corruption, or unintended deletion.
5. Paid Services & Refunds
WaVault offers premium access through paid licenses ("Pro Monthly" and "Day Pass").
- Subscriptions: By purchasing a subscription, you agree to pay the recurring fees indicated at checkout. You may cancel at any time.
- Refund Policy: We offer a full refund within 3 days (72 hours) of your initial purchase if the product does not meet your expectations.
- Contact: To request a refund or cancel your subscription, please contact support@wavault.com. We respond to all requests within 3 business days.
6. Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in the Extension—including the compiled WASM core, UI design system, and brand assets—are the exclusive property of WaVault. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the Extension for its intended purpose.
7. Prohibited Acts
You agree not to:
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source logic of the compiled WASM core.
- Use the Extension for automated spamming, bulk harvesting, or any activity that violates third-party terms.
- Bypass or attempt to disable the licensing mechanisms.
